On 5^th June,  2023, the PIMC (Project Implementation and Monitoring Committee)  meeting of  FPCs and Bankers’ Meet Program was  held at the premises of the Seba Farmers’ Samity at Gobardanga. The event was graced by the presence of Nabard  DDM, Shri. Deepak Paswan, the secretary of the Seba Farmers’ Samity, Shri. Gobinda Lal Majumdar and the board of directors of various FPCs.

The primary focus of the program was to discuss the progress, effectiveness, and income generated by the ongoing NABARD projects in North 24 Parganas. This review process occurs every three months.

Three FPCs attended the event viz : Ichamoti FPC from Gaighata Block, Swanirvar FPC from Swarupnagar Block and Baduria Vikas FPC from Baduria Block. Initially, DDM, Nabard  inquired about the growth, performance and other aspects of Swanirvar FPC. CEO of the FPC, Shri. Jyotirmoy Mondal explained everything in detaisl to DDM. Following this, CEO Shri. Debabrata Pal of Ichamoti FPC gave a demonstration of his company. Finally, Baduria Vikas FPC presented its report to DDM.

At the end of the meeting, DDM  highlighted both the strengths and weaknesses  providing suggestions for improvement. Subsequently, A programme named ‘Esso Hat Dhori’ in collaboration with the Rotary Club and managed by the Seba Farmers’ Samity was held.  In this programme distribution of monthly ration to the needy and impoverished mothers were made. Each FPC CEO was also given a coconut sapling as a measure of support to the eco-system.

The event concluded with the planting of saplings of fruit at  the bank of the fish pond of Seba Farmers’ Samity. Dr. N.C. Kar, the Health Officer of Gobardanga Municipality and NABARD DDM, Shri. Deepak Paswan participated in this noble tree-planting initiative.
