“On June 24, 2023, the 43rd Sahitya Sabha took place. The 43rd Sahitya Sabha commenced with a tribute to Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and the late Shyamaprasad Das, adorned with garlands and flowers by all distinguished guests. The event began with a dance performance by a young artist.

In this 43rd literary conference, we were honored to welcome renowned painting artist and writer Shri. Ashit Dalal among us. Born in Khulna, Bangladesh, during a time of social unrest, he overcame many adversities but never lost his deep passion for literature. His journey in literature and painting has been tireless, including the creation of short stories, poems, essays, and contributions to various magazines. His notable works include poetry collections such as “Vangan” and “Digonter Gaan.” Alongside his literary pursuits, his dedication to music and painting illuminates his character. We the family of Gobordanga Seba Farmers’ Samity, feel proud to honor him today, pledging to support and stand by him.

One by one, poets and writers read poems and short stories, and another young artist performed a song. Towards the end of the conference, the main stage saw Seba Secretary Shri. Gobinda Lal Majumdar welcoming Shri. Ashit Dalal with flowers and a ceremonial scarf, followed by Seba President Shri. Himadri Gomstha bestowing a special honor upon him. Then Gobinda Lal Majumdar presented him with a certificate of honor. Treasurer Smt. Protima Chakraborty handed over paintings drawn by a children, while Shri. Himadri Gomstha presented a Shantiniketan bag and a pen. Smt. Kakoli Roy distributed copies of the book “Bani Bithika” to everyone. The certificate of honor for Shri. Ashit Dalal was read aloud by Seba Bergoom Branch volunteer Smt. Sampa Gharami. Finally, a group photo was taken with all the writers.”
